A few more pictures....too tired

Well, it has been a long two days so far. Sarah is doing well at band camp despite the long hours in the hot south Georgia sun. I am amazed at the resilience of these kids. They start at 8 in the morning sharp and go until 9 each night with just a break for lunch and dinner. They are in the heat of the day from 8-12 and then 6-9. They do inside practice from 1-5 so they get some what of a break from the heat, but they sure don't get a break from the work. It really makes you appreciate the band at football games a ton more!!!!
I am just as tired too. I have been there on and off throughout the day, and when I am not there, I am at the preschool getting my room ready. Which I am happy to say I am pretty much finished with it now, so I can devote myself to band camp for the rest of the week. It has been a whirlwind since we made it home from vacation. Well, I am just posting a few more pictures from the vacation to share with you all. After I post this, I am heading to bed....I am to tired to type. Have as a great day!

We're Back

We are back from the mountains. We had a great time there, and as always I come home from the mountains refreshed. It was nice being all together as family and seeing the girls interacting with their cousins. Bailey and Breanna went nonstop from the moment they woke up till they finally laid their heads down on the pillow at night. Each morning Todd and Tim got up early to go fishing with their mom, so they were able to get their quiet time in with their mom and bring in a few fish too. Nothing big or to write home about but enough to keep them satisfied. Sarah and Charlene spent a lot of time down on the dock fishing for minnows for bait. I got to read two books while I was there as well! That is an accomplishment in itself! We did get to go to the Apple Barn to eat breakfast two times. Once on the first day and then again on the last day as we were heading out of town. It was sooooooo yummy. I love their Apple Fritters and Apple Butter and Apple Julep. Todd did make sure I got my intake of the mountains and rivers in the park too. We took a trip into the Smoky Mountain Park on Monday for a while which you can see from the pictures, and then again on the way home, we went through the park and then took the scenic route home through some of our favorite places we used to go before we were married. We went through the Highlands in N.C. and saw some absolutely gorgeous scenery and waterfalls! My favorites!
We celebrated Christmas in July with everyone. The girls had fun decorating a holly bush that was outside of our cabin. We exchanged presents and then Todd took a nap.....just like on our real Christmas morning....nothing seems to change that.
We took time to take a few snapshots of the whole family together, thanks to Sarah and Colleen's camera having self timers on them.
As my mother-in-law said, we just need to make memories, and we all did. Hopefully the girls will remember all the fun they had together, as well as the adults. Aunt Nadine was sure to leave a lasting impression on Tim's girls as I hope they will always remember what you do at the Apple Barn and what Apple Cider does to the body!!!LOL
Well, I will post more tomorrow, as I start off the craziness of this week. Sarah starts band camp today, and Todd and I have to be there to help, and I have to somehow get my preschool room ready this week too! Hope you all have a great week! Hugs to share!

Headed to the Mountains

Well, we got our first offer on our house and it was a total joke. Psycho man made it and he is living in a dream world if he even thinks we would remotely even entertain the idea of accepting it. There is supposedly another couple that really likes our house but their house is for sale on a contingency from someone else's house that is for sale on a contigency....so needless to say some sales have to go through for this couple to even entertain the idea. So I am really working on letting go and letting God handle all of this.
For now though I just wanted to post that we are headed to the mountains tomorrow. I will post pictures and adventures when we get back. I hope the mountain air will refresh my spirit. We will see......
Hope you all have a great week!!!!! Talk to you when we get home.

Going Crazy....

You know, sometimes I really feel like I am going crazy.....
These past few days have been nuts at my house. We arrived back home from South Carolina and it seems like I still have not fully arrived back home. Everytime I think I will have time to get stuff done, the phone rings with a request to show the house again. Now don't get me wrong, I know it is a good thing that they are showing our house, and I want it to sell as fast as possible, so really this is just a blog entry for you all to hear me whine. LOL
In all honesty, I am getting frustrated because they are showing the house on average 2 times a day. We are living like crazy people. We get up in the morning to our already clean house only to tidy up some more in case they call early. We leave for a showing, spending hours on end away from the house, only to arrive home for the phone to ring usually within the hour of us being home to show it again. Now the reason I am going crazy is I don't even have enough time to go to the bathroom in my own home without getting "kicked" out again. I am frustrated because the house has been shown to 3 different couples more than once, and still we have no offers. My goodness people......make an offer!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am afraid to start anything at the house for fear it will be all over the place and the phone rings.....for example, we are supposed to be leaving this weekend for our trip to Tennessee, and I am afraid to start packing because if anyone calls the suitcases etc will be all over the place, and I will have to put it all back up before they get here. I know I am a perfectionist so don't tell me to just go about my business and don't worry about it because that is like telling the Pope not to be Catholic....I just can't do it!
So please pray for me that I make it through all this. I really want the house to sell quickly, and I know it will all happen eventually, but me and patience don't coexist well together.
Have a great day.

Family Fun

We had a great time at the wedding this weekend in South Carolina. It was so fun being able to spend time with my family. It seems like we never get to see each other, so just being together was so neat. Melissa and Steve were so kind to let us crash at the lake house they rented for the week. It made it more fun because we were able to see more of each other than we normally would. The pictures kinda sum up the weekend. Melissa and Steve looked very "daper" in their wedding attire. The girls danced the night away at the reception, and Melissa and I took our moment with our dad. We don't get together shots like that very often.
We got home today after stopping in Macon on our way home at Bailey's eye appointment. The doctor thinks she will be able to go into contacts in about a year and a half. We will keep our fingers crossed.
We have someone else looking at the house again tomorrow. We supposedly have a guy very interested in it, but he sounds like a little psycho case so I don't know if we want to deal with him. Our real estate agent called us today about him again and we told him to tell the guy to get a life.......he is truly looney....the guy is, not our agent.
Anyway, we will be home for a few days and then we are headed to Tennessee for our vacation with Todd's family. I hope we will have good weather, and that I will be able to sit by a creek in the park and read for a while. The Smoky Mountains are my favorite place to go, and I love everything there is about the area. I am looking forward to escaping to the mountains for a while.
I guess that is all for now. Hope you all have a great week! Hugs to share!

Train Ride

Well, we have been very busy for the past few days because we have had an open house and the house has been shown several times too. So we have had to clean straighten and stay out of the house for hours on end....no exageration. The day of the open house we had left the house at 8:30 and returned at 11:30, only to have to leave again cuz they called to show the house and every time we came back thinking they were done, they were still in our driveway so we would do drive bys of our own house. The girls, the dog and I were all a bit stir crazy by the end of the day. We literally burned a half a tank of gas just driving around. We had the giggles so bad by the time we got back to the house it was too funny.
My father and Sharon left on Sunday. We had a wonderful time together. We took my dad on a train ride for his Father's Day gift. It is a train that goes from Cordele, Ga to Plains, Ga. My dad likes trains, but told me he had never been on a real train before, so this was a fun experience for not only him, but us as well. We stopped in Americus, Ga to tour the headquarters of Habitat for Humanity and the "global village" they have there. We then headed to Plains to the hometown of Jimmy Carter. We walked around the town and ate peanut ice cream too. It was so good. We then went to Jimmy Carter's boyhood home. We headed back after that. It was a full day, but we really enjoyed spending the time together. I have included some of our pictures from the trip. Bailey was hoping the conductor would punch a word in the ticket like "believe", like in the movie the Polar Express. Sarah was just being a dork on the tracks....always the comedian.
Well, we are off to South Carolina to a wedding tomorrow, and then we will be back on Monday. Maybe the house will sell while we are gone.....I can only hope!
Hope you all have a nice weekend.

It's official

Well, it is official. Our house is officially up for sale. Todd and I signed all the paperwork tonight.
We will keep our fingers crossed and say lots of prayers. I don't know what God has in store for us, but we will see. My father and Sharon are here and my dad has been wonderful to help us get several small repairs we have needed done for a while, finished up. I am so grateful for his help cuz Todd works so much he doesn't always have the time to get this stuff done.
I hope you will all keep us in your prayers as we venture into this new chapter of our lives.
Have a great week.
